Upon arrival I turned off the water to the unit, I also turned off the electric at the breaker. Than I removed the old water heater and replaced it with a 30 gallon Rheem low boy water heater. I also installed an off and on switch for the water heater. When I had completed my work I turned the water back on and also the electrical. Within 15 minutes the water had began to heat up I had the customer to check the heat to make sure it was to his liking.
Leak detection water coming from behind the sink.after leak search we detected that the water was coming from the hot side of the supply line from the faucet. Advised customer to buy new faucet since the broken supply line that was leaking off the hot that was built into the faucet. Shut the hot side off at the emergency stop to stop leak.
Upon arrival the customer showed me to his kitchen sink where his disposal was not working and he informed me that when he ran the dishwasher that it would back up in the sink, but that he used a drain cleaner and now it’s working. I felt underneath the disposal question the reset button and got the disposal working just fine, I also performed two full sink drop tests to test for the stoppage and both times it drained fine. There was some debris inside of the disposal which I removed. The customer stated his interest and possibly removing the disposal or replacing it as well as replacing the valve under the kitchen sink, so I provided the customer with multiple quotes so that he could choose what works best for him. The customer lives here only part of the year. The customer will call us to do the work the next time he is in town. The customer will have to get with the building to find out where his main valve is.
I arrived today because my customer has an active leak. After presenting the leak detection fee my customer opted to call American Leak Detection because they were cheaper and the will call JPT back once it’s located.
When we arrived, we diagnosed the toilet as a running toilet causing water to leak into the bowl. We replaced the toilet and tested for leaks. We recommend replacing the toilet in the master Bathroom. Also recommend the John the plumber membership to receive future discounts on service work.
We're so glad you had a positive experience with us. Thank you for your kind words and support.
I replaced the old leaking 4 inch spread faucet with a new wolverine brass chrome simplicity single handle faucet. I tested for leaks and there no leaks. The new faucet is working perfectly.
Came out today to diagnose a 20 year old water heater that is in need for replacement. The heater is already brought up to code with a ball valve and a switch on the electric. We would replace with a new rheem 30 gallon heater and that would come with a 6 year parts and labor warranty. We do offer an extension kit on the water heater that will bring the parts and labor warranty to 10 years. I have sent over 2 different quotes for the waterheater.
When we arrived, we diagnosed the issue as a leaking hot line under the slab of the home. We recommend performing a leak search to determine the leaking line in order to reroute. We will be sending the quote via email.
Arrived to find unit 102,202,103,203 and 118/119 clogged. Attempted to clear clog from the 2 story roof with a k60 using both straight and no tip. Both came back polished . It is determined that the line is broken and must be tunneled for repair.
Customer had accordion styled p trap under sink and knocked it loose, I offered to transition to pvc styled drainage and p trap, but customer declined service. I tightened nut back to trap for her and she was satisfied, but I can’t promise future issues won’t occur with that type of drainage attachment.
Hall bathroom upstairs was clogged up. Used closet auger to free the clog and flushed 5+ times to ensure clog was completely cleared. Also flushed toilet paper to ensure everything was clear. I Recommend a new kohler toilet for a stronger flush to decrease common toilet clogs.
Upon arrival customer stated she had a leak behind the heater. I could audibly hear the the water leaking in the adjacent wall so I opened the drywall in the master closet. Found the 1” copper main water line with a pinhole in the 90 and also a very old gate valve. Replaced copper from exterior where it attached to pvc, tied in the upstairs unit that shares this water supply, and replaced the gate valve with a ball valve. Tested for leaks then bled the air out of the system.
