Upon arrival, the customer was concerned about scratching noises coming from the water heater. We suggested flushing the heater, as the noise could be due to sediment buildup and the harshness of the water. We proceeded to flush the water heater to help clear out any debris or sediment that may have collected in the tank. We advised the customer to keep an eye out for any unusual noises or issues following the flush.

Upon arrival customer informed me that her guest bathroom shower does not have any cold water. She said you have to turn the handle to the left all the way to get water. And it’s scorching hot. I recommended that customer replace her shower/tub valve. Customer said she hasn’t turned the shower on in over 10 years. They were previously using the tub to store stuff. I created an estimate to replace shower tub valve with new Moen supplied by John the Plumber. Customer said that was a lot of money. I explained to customer the warranty on both parts and labor. I also provided customer with and alternative if she wanted to save some money. I advised customer to go get her own valve and we can do the install. This allows her to cut cost on valve. Customer agreed and wanted me to get it done today. I advised customer that I would take a lunch and come right back. During the new valve install, I informed customer that John the plumber is not responsible for any drywall or tile repairs. This w

Customer had gate valves for both the main feed and the water heater feed. Water heater was from 2003 and has water rust spots in various locations. I advised customer that it is highly recommended that she change her heater because it is 20 years old and showing manu signs of imminent failure. I advised customer of how much it would be to replace her heater and valves and she was transparent by letting me know she did not have the budget for that. Also, I advised customer er that I would need to shut the building down to replace the main valve and she did not want to go through that. I told her that the only way for me to stop the leak, without replacing it would be en then packing nut however, this would be a temporary fix only. I advised customer that ultimately, John the plumber does not recommend this as a permanent fix, ra

Cap off kitchen hot and cold water lines and cap off drain line

Upon arrival, the customer showed us the backup in the kitchen sink and provided a new garbage disposal for installation. We replaced both emergency stops under the kitchen sink and installed the customer-supplied garbage disposal. We also snaked through the waste arm to address the backup in the sink. After completing the work, we filled both sides of the sink and dumped the water to test the drainage. Everything drained quickly with no signs of backup, and there were no leaks observed. There is a 1-year warranty on the angle stops. There is no warranty on the garbage disposal or the snaking. The customer is having an electrician come out to complete the electrical connection, as the garbage disposal they purchased has an EZ Connect setup.
Very efficient and friendly service.

Upon arrival customer showed us that the cartridge was backwards. We flipped the cartridge to the shower and now it’s correct. We had the customer test it and he approves.

Upon arrival, the customer showed us the issues with the Moen cartridge, a slow-filling toilet, and the shower trim. We replaced the Moen cartridge and performed a minor rebuild in the master toilet. RO faucet was connected to the filter system and supplied through a 3/8 dual stop. Customer does not have a working ice line because their fridge/freezer does not contain one. After removing the filter system and releasing the faucet head, asked customer if they were going to cap the hole. Customer said she is already planning on capping the hole herself. After removing faucet and system, I made sure the stop had no leaks. Also, after identifying the main shutoff valve for the unit, I advidpsed customer that it was in a terrible position and was unable to be turned in case of emergency due to poorly placed shelving. I explained to customer the risks of the gate valve and recommended that she change it. Upon arrival to the location, I met with homeowner Sharon who was by the door and she showed me inside. She began by explaining she has two toilets who both have the same issues more or less. There’s only two bathrooms, so that’s all the toilets in the home. She mentioned the one in the guest bathroom, doesn’t flush and she has to open the lid and adjust the handle periodically. The master bathroom toilet continuously run and she also has to manually stop it. She also tried shutting the emergency shut off valves off and they’re not holding, I recommend changing those out as well. Furthermore, I asked to see the water heater which is under 10 years old, and her main valve which she doesn’t have. She lives in a townhome which is on a common line, she doesn’t know about a main valve indoor and I did not see one by the water heater. I advised her that we will need to schedule a shut off the day we do the work. In addition, I got her some options based off what we discussed and she initiall

Upon arrival customer informed me that he is replacing his washer and dryer and he has the company coming to do the install. He states that the company was not able to unthread the hot line washing machine supply and said that he needed to replace it or they can’t do the install. I built and estimate for the replacement of the washing machine supply valves but the customer said it was too expensive for him. He said he received a quote for $200 to replace both. Customer asked me if there was a way I could just unthread the supply hose and charge him. I advised him I would have to charge a minimum service fee if $225 for work provided. Customer agreed. Customer mentioned that he does General Contracting work. Was not interested in any additional plumbing assistance. Customer just wanted the problem resolved. I unthreaded the hot line carefully to not snap the line. I used wire brush to clean threads for customer. I did advise customer that we highly recommend changing the Bibb however we

Emergency Dispatch: Upon arrival, customer showed their bathroom and garage full of water. There was also about 1” of water in the nook space under the stairs in the garage. I advised customer I would need to perform a leak detection diagnostic to find the source of the water. After diagnostic, I determined that the leak was caused by a stoppage in the main line. When the customer ran any fixtures in the house the waste water was backing up over the flange in the guest bathroom. The water then seeped into 5e wall and spread to the garage and nook area. I advised customer I would need to remove his toilet and snake the line from the toilet. Once toilet was removed, I used 5 k60 reels to clear the stoppage. After reseating toilet, I ran Multiple tests to make sure there were no leaks. Customer satisfied. No peaks

Customer call John the plumber out today because he has an issue with his kitchen faucet being loose, and both of his toilets in the apartment are extremely loose. While doing a brief inspection, technician saw that the plate that holds the faucet underneath the sink has no bolts and the faucet would have to be replaced. And as far as the two toilets are concerned, technician believes that the flange on both toilets are broken I need to be replaced. Technician will provide the customer with a few options to resolve the issues today.

Upon arrival to the home, I met with homeowner Sandra who showed me inside. She began by stating that her dishwasher began to back up and then her garbage disposal stopped working and began to back up on that side of the sink. There’s a double sink and each sink has its own independent waste arms. There is no issues with the other sink this entire time. She’s been at the home a little over a year, the water heater was changed a few years ago, and there’s a ball valve at the main. I told Sandra what her options were, she asked for some numbers. I got back and she mentioned she’s going to talk with her husband who was at work. They thought it was a little expensive, as they have been spending a lot around the home, the last owner apparently left them with tons of issues. Furthermore, Sandra is leaning on owner supplied, or getting the disposal with us but they want some time to figure it out. I told her I’ll give her a one time deal if she decides to move forward with us supplying and i
Very good

Called With an emergency issue, and the technician was out within a couple hours and had it resolved. Appreciate the quick response Time.
Great and prompt Service,
The service guy was very pleasant, but the company is very overpriced. I initially had a leak, that was prepared and ended up with two additional issues from that repair. I would recommend price shopping before settling with this company. They quoted me 3K for a job that was ultimately 1500.
Carl was very thorough and explained what was happening as he had encountered a problem. He tried everything he could to solve the problem and even reached out to the manufacturer and they were baffled. Would recommend Carl and John's Plumbing for any plumbing job around your house.
