Upon arrival to the location, we called Vincent who met us downstairs and explained what was going on. He mentioned this morning he noticed the toilet bubbling and the kitchen. Then when he came outside to check the Cleanout, he seen it overflowing through the cap. He began by showing us all the clean outs going downstream to the city tie in and once we were getting closer to the public sewer, we noticed the city of Deerfield was already out taking care of the blockage. Apparently the stoppage was in the public sewer, and nothing to do with the building sewer itself. Upon arrival customer had a main line blockage and sewer was backing up in both showers. In secondary bath sewer was backing up through the base of toilet. We went ahead and snaked the main line through a roof vent above bathroom group. We relieved blockage and then pulled toilet in secondary bath to reseal toilet to floor. Upon pulling toilet we noticed toilet flange rusted and not properly mounted to the floor. We filled around toilet flange with hydro cement and then installed a new toilet flange properly mounting to the floor. After work was preformed we tested for leaks and flow. Upon arrival to the location, I met with Pam who showed us inside and took us to the master bathroom where she mentioned what was going on. Upon arrival to the location, I met with Geno who mentioned he wanted to see how much is the shut off valve we briefly spoke about on my last visit. Moreover, I advised him we will need to shut the water to the home in order to do the work and he currently has a gate valve. I told Geno we don’t touch those for liability purposes but he can try to check if it works. He closed it all the way and the valve did not hold up 100%, water was still coming out. There are valves to shut off the apartment lines, but I told him we’d need to notify the tenants or let HOA know to give notice. Geno mentioned he wants to go over it with his mother and the HOA to see what they’re going to do. Did not want to leave deposit until he figured that out.

Customer call John the Plumber out today because they have a leak coming from their 30 gallon water heater located underneath their AC units. When technician arrived to the scene, he saw that the water heater had a slow leak coming from the drain porch on the bottom of the unit. Technician also noticed that the water heater is from 1996. Customer call John the plumber on today because he is experiencing issues as far as roots are concerned and his drain lines. Customer has lived in the home for 30 years, and when he first moved in the previous owners informed him that there is a section of the home that that was replaced with PVC. Technician will run a camera through the clean out on the ground, and also on the vent stack on the roof to see if he could locate the issue. Job details: After running the camera through the vents check on the roof technician saw that customer does have a a tremendous amount of routes all throughout his cast-iron drain lines. Technician was able to punch through the roots with the camera giving the customer some relief. The cast-iron drain line is no longer holding water and technician got a better view of the roots. Upon arrival customer had a leak in two 3/4 copper lines coming out of the slab. We had to cut out pipe and solder four slip couplings with two short pieces of pipe. Upon arrival customer had a blockage in kitchen sink. She mentioned she put a lot of rice down drain. We started with putting drill snake through waste arm twice then testing for no results. We then ran k60 cable through roof drain and relieved blockage. We did not have a camera on van unfortunately. We told customer if this happens again we will camera line as a courtesy next visit. Snaking will be charged accordingly. After we relieved blockage we tested and drain is flowing as it should. Upon arrival to the home, we met with geno who showed us the toilet in the guest bathroom. He mentioned he believes it needs new guts. He had the valve off currently. Geno doesn’t live in the home, his mother does but advised the toilet is probably original. I recommended geno he change the toilet entirely to a comfort height to accommodate his mother. Moreover, they have a tankless in the closet. Geno mentioned it’s just his mom and sometimes his aunt are in the apartment. Thus, he asked for toilet recommendations which we provided. He mentioned he’s off today and will get one soon as we finish up. I collected a deposit and told him as soon as he gets the toilet call the office to schedule us back.

Upon arrival customer informed me that she was contacted by John the Plumber to do a check up visit after installation of heater and toilet not to long ago. After completing checkup, customer mentioned that she has a hose bibb that sprays water when she turns it off. After diagnostic, I determined that the hose bibb was defective and needed to be replaced. I replaced hose bibb with 1/2” (1/4 turn) ball valve hose cock. Turned water back on and tested for leaks. As per video taken and pictures taken the shower drain was clogging up after 45 seconds after removal of the shower drain I snaked the existing drain and cleared the strainer basket and everything is operational and working properly. Customer said everything else in the home was working perfectly fine with no issues. After diagnostic, I determine that the customer would need to replace the P-trap in the pedestal sink. We had to remove pedestal platform to remove P-trap and we replaced it with an inch and a half PVC tubular P-trap. Second issue that customer wanted us to address was also a slow draining tub. After diagnostic, I determine that the cause of the slow draining tub was the strainer and it was full of hair. I remove strainer and clean hair. Tested drain. Customer also mentioned that her tub spout diverter was not shutting off the tub. Prior to replacing it I had an estimate on an affidavit stating that I’m not responsible for having to cut into her drawer a zero dollar estimate and she signed.
