Customer had a leak from hose bib after install. Came to tighten the packing nut.
Customer meter was constantly spinning so she wanted to check for leaks. First thing I did was isolate the line from the meter to the house. Meter was still spinning which means the leak is in the ground between the meter and the shut off valve for the house. Shutoff valve was a 1” ball valve and there was 3/4 soft copper in the ground. Customer also had a hose bib that did not leak. Final diagnosis was a leaking main line and I advised customer that she needs to replace it. The meter had 1” PVC that 90’d down into the ground about 2 feet. I ran a bypass line in 1” PVC all the way to the house. We abandon the old line in the ground. The house inlet was 3/4 hard copper. I went from 1” PVC to 3/4 hard copper for the main line into the house. Also provided a new hose bib and ball valve. Turned the water back on and there were no leaks. Meter stopped running and customer er was very satisfied.
Upon arrival customer told me that they need to check for a leak bc the city sent a letter saying that they have a running meter. I agreed to do a full diagnostic. I checked all fixtures in the house. After diagnostic in the house, I advised customer that the flapper in her guest bathroom is compromised. I recommended a minor rebuild. She agreed. I also advised her that her heater is leaking from the cold side. I showed customer and she asked how much to replace. I told her heatEr was from 2001. I replaced heater same day. After shutting the house down I checked the meter to see if the meter was still running. It was slightly running still. I advised customer that the main line has to be replace from the house to the meter. She agreed. Scheduled work for later date. Customer signed all estimates.
Upon arrival customer had a leaking kitchen faucet and had bought one to replace it with. Further inspection the dual emergency stops underneath kitchen sink were corroded and needed to be changed. We went ahead and replaced both dual stops, as well as custom kitchen faucet. When we got a picture of the main valve we noticed main valve is old style gate valve and will need to be updated to a 1/4 turn ball valve. We also noticed the tubular drainage for kitchen sink needs to be updated and corrected. Estimates provided. Thank you for calling John The Plumber! -Shane
Upon arrival, the customer directed us to the garage, where a 38-gallon low water heater, dated 2004, was leaking. The customer expressed interest in replacing the unit, and we provided a quote for a new water heater. After the customer approved the estimate, we replaced the leaking water heater with a brand-new Rheem 38-gallon low model for improved efficiency and reliability. Additionally, we replaced the emergency shut-off valve, which was corroded and non-operable, with a durable brass ball valve. After completing the installation, we checked for leaks and confirmed there were none. We then turned on the electric supply to the heater and verified that it was operating as normal.
Called the phone number on file and showed up to the address but no one answered, I lwft a card on the door to let them know we where there
Upon arrival customer had a water heater that was out of code and needed a few adjustments. Heater is up to code and operating as it should. We also calked pan for a water tight seal. Thank you for calling John The Plumber! -Shane
Upon arrival, the customer showed us to the master bathroom, where a backup was occurring. We provided an estimate to clear the blockage, and the customer agreed. We then ran a snake 35 feet to clear the blockage successfully. During the process, we noticed that the cast iron pipe has a significant amount of scaling buildup. We have provided an estimate to jet and descale the line to help prevent future backups. Additionally, we provided estimates to replace the water heater due to its age and to replace the main valve to the house. This was not a permanent solution, and no warranty was provided due to unknown factors.
Upon arrival customer had a toilet leaking by and needed a fill valve replacement. Further inspection emergency stop was missing handle and needed to be replaced, while supply line had a plastic nut. We went ahead and replaced fill valve, emergency stop, and supply line. Toilet is operating as it should. While installing emergency stop pipe was spinning in wall which means there is a shark bite fitting. This fitting is not supposed to be used as a permanent fitting this will have to be removed and replaced with a copper 90. Estimate provided.
Customer was not satisfied with the switch box install. I explained to him that I am not an electrician and don’t know the codes. He said we needed a nipple with an offset bc there was exposed wiring from box to box. I did not have the correct items to complete the task. Had to reschedule for tomorrow
Customer just purchased condo and wants to move in ASAP. They have been down here for a week and are preparing their new condo to live in. Customer mentioned they had some minor plumbing issues. Upon arrival customer mentioned that their sinks were leaking under the cabinets in the kitchen and bathrooms. After diagnostic, I determined that the waste arm in the kitchen needed to be replaced along with the P trap. Previous waste arm was 1 1/2 DWV copper. It was compromised at two different spots where it was leaking. I replaced waste arm in kitchen with 1 1/2 PVC. The master bathroom and guest bathroom also were leaking from the P traps. The guest bathroom had a broken pop up drain assembly. I replaced both pop ups and p traps under the sink. Customer also mentioned that their guest bathroom shower/bath was not running properly. I determined that the tub diverter failed and was not stopping the water when engaged. Shower head was also fully clogged. I recommended that we replace both w
Upon arrival customer needed an estimate for cast iron piping underneath home. Info and pictures gathered for definitive estimate. Thank you for calling John The Plumber! Shane
Recall. Customer had ice line leaking from previous install. Tighten compression fitting changed Ferrell.
Upon arrival the master bathroom and the guest bathroom were both backing up. I explained to the customer in order for me to clear the clog I would need to go on the roof and clear it from the stack. When I gave the customer the price he then declined. He says the price was to high and he couldn’t afford it at this time.
Changed 1” gate valve main to 1” ball valve. Had to cut drywall. Installed kitchen sink assembly. Faucet installation , 3 angle stops, and P trap assembly drain.
Drain cleaning. Snaked from roof stack over master bathroom ran 75 feet of cable to clear stoppage. Also had to snake tub drain in guest bathroom ran 20 feet of cable to clear stoppage ran both showers and flushed both bathrooms 8 times each to assure all lines were clear . No warranty on stoppages.
Customer replaced kitchen sink and wants install of sink drain assembly including garbage disposal and water supply. Upon arrival found that customer main shutoff in heater closet is a gate valve. After reviewing previous estimates customer was informed that he needed to replace gate valve before we do any work on open water lines in the unit. Customer decided to turn off the gate valve by himself and demo the sink assembly. He had a small but steady leak from his tub spout while the water was shut offf. I informed customer that we would need to schedule a building shut off in order to perform the work requested.
Upon arrival customer has no hot water to their whole unit. During inspection of hot water heater, unit is from 2001 and needs to be replaced, there is a lot of rust on base and has a slow leak. Main water shut off is also a Cpvc shut off, so we will have to preform a building shut down in order to update main valve to 1/4 turn brass ball valve. Estimates provided at this time Thank you for calling John The Plumber!
Upon arrival, we assessed the customer's issue with a backup occurring in the kitchen branch line, which was causing water to back up into the mop sink and laundry area in the garage. We recommended jetting the kitchen line as the most effective solution to resolve the blockage. All details regarding the jetting process were thoroughly explained to the customer. While we also offered the option to snake the line, after discussing the benefits of jetting, the customer agreed it was the better choice but expressed the desire to obtain another quote before making a final decision. Additionally, we inspected the water heater and main valve, noting that both were outdated and prone to leaking. We provided the customer with an estimate for their replacement and presented multiple options for consideration. The customer stated he would review the information and discuss it with his wife before deciding.
Upon arrival I noticed there were a gate valve for the main and also a gate valve for the hot water side, I explained to the customer the reason the valves would need to be replaced in order for any work to be done, at this time. The customer then took it upon himself to shut off the water. I then removed the garbage disposal and piping from underneath the kitchen sink
The toilet was leaking from the tank and bolts gasket and I offered the customer a major toilet rebuild to fix the problem at hand. I also explained to her that in the process of John the plumber changing out these parts, due to the fact that the bolts are rusted if the tank to the toilet was to crack. We will not be held responsible. She indicated that she would not like to go forward at this time,by she will get a second opinion and give us a call back.
On arrival found Carpet around hall bath wet in living room area. Found hall bath pop up assembly broken and faucet running. Water was going into the bottom of vanity then onto floor. Removed hot and cold stops and capped. Tested work good
